Made from the South African "red bush", Rooibos is a caffeine free herbal tea naturally rich in essential minerals and comparable to Green Tea in the amounts of polyphenols it contains. It is believed to show anti-mutagenic, anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory and anti-viral activity.
Bring water to boil and let it stand for one minute. The water temperature should be between 165-170 degrees. Then pour over Rooibos leaves using a fine mesh infuser (about 1 tsp. per 8-12oz.). Steep five to eight minutes. Remove the leaves from the tea before drinking. This will stop the leaves from steeping, allowing you to use them again.
